Dogging (Non-Fire Rated) feature with hex tool allow the latchbolt to retract, removing the need to turn the lever or push the panic bar. You essentially only have to push or pull the door for it to open when the exit hardware is “dogged". Alarm option for emergency exit will sound if push bar is depressed.
